The Fitness Center is open to everyone! Enroll for credit or non-credit Fitness Center classes! If you are enrolled in credit (A-F or P/Z) courses, please refer to your syllabus.

Guests (13 years of age and older) are invited to be our guest! Download our Free One Day Guest Pass. Still deciding or just visiting? Try our $5/day drop in option. Stop by the Fitness Center to learn more!

Ready to become a member? Register at the Fitness Center or Enrollment Center, pay at Student Business Services/Cashier's Office, also located in the Enrollment Center, and complete an intake form prior to exercising. When re-registering for the Fitness Center, a new intake form must be completed. Bring your family and friends!

Policies and Procedures

Parking: Parking decal stickers are not required for students.

  • GCC Main: Use the S1 or S4 parking lot (NW or SW lots).
  • GCC North: Use the parking lots West of building C or North of building B.

Check-in: A GCC picture ID card is required to work out in the Fitness Centers. ID cards are available in the Enrollment Centers at both campuses. While there is no charge for the original ID card, there is a fee for replacement cards.

There are no refunds for non-credit memberships after the course start date.

  1. All students must be enrolled in a Fitness Center course and have a valid GCC student ID card to gain access to GCC Main, North, and Adapted Fitness Centers and any group fitness classes.
  2. Newly registered Fitness Center students must complete an assumption of risk (AOR) form prior to exercising. When re-registering for the Fitness Center, all students must complete a new AOR.
  3. All Fitness Center instructors have the professional responsibility and right to restrict student participation in the Fitness Center, if in the professional opinion of the instructor, the student's physical ability is unsafe to themselves or others.
  4. GCC Fitness Center has certified & degreed personal trainers, who offer training at an affordable rate. Only approved personal trainers are allowed to train members on site.
  5. Cell phones should not be used while on the Fitness Center floor. If you need to take a call or text, please step into the lobby or outside.
  6. For cleanliness and safety reasons, food and glass containers are not permitted in the Fitness Center. Water and sports drinks in spill-proof bottles are allowed.
  7. Cleaning stations are located throughout the Fitness Center. Please wipe your equipment down as you go.
  8. Smoking, smokeless tobacco products, and drugs prohibited by law are not permitted on any MCCCD Campus.
  9. Please refrain from wearing strong scented perfume or cologne while working out. Some people have severe allergies, which strong scents can aggravate.
  10. The minimum age for Fitness Center enrollment is 13. For safety reasons, children under 13 are not permitted to wait in the lobby or Fitness Center while their parent/legal guardian exercises.
  11. Please do not verbally confront students or staff. If you have any concerns regarding other students or staff, please address them to the Fitness Center Manager onsite. Disruptive students, according to the Student Conduct Code in the Student Handbook, may be asked to leave the Fitness Center.
  12. Appropriate fitness attire is required; midsection must be covered (e.g., no crop tops), and no jeans. Closed-toe, athletic footwear is required. Ensure footwear is clean and in good condition.
  13. Personal items should be stored in the lockers OR cubbyholes provided; bags are not allowed on the Fitness Center floor. The Fitness Center is not responsible for lost/stolen items.
  14. Arrive on time for group fitness classes. To avoid disruptions, late arrivals are not allowed.
  15. Please allow others to work in on weight equipment and restrict time to 30 minutes on cardiovascular equipment when the Fitness Center is busy.
  16. Sexual harassment and discrimination in any college education program or activity are prohibited. Please report any discrimination and/or harassment to the GCC Office of Student Life at 623-845-3525.

Fitness Center members can use facilities at both GCC Main and GCC North. Please bring your GCC ID card.

Choose from a variety of FREE Group Fitness classes at both GCC Main and GCC North.

Access to qualified fitness instructors to answer your fitness-related questions or help you set-up a workout.

Need more individualized instruction? Fitness Center instructors are also available for personal training sessions offered at an affordable rate - individual sessions and packages available.

Complete 75 hours in a semester and be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a Fitness Center T-shirt for your hard work!

Corporate Discounts: may be available, please contact the Fitness Center Manager at 623-845-3800 for more information.

Family Memberships: available to those living in the same home or those individuals claimed as a dependent on tax returns. The minimum age for enrollment is 13, and individuals under the age of 16 must have a responsible parent or legal guardian with them while they are exercising in the Fitness Center.

MCCCD Student Discounts: available to currently enrolled MCCCD students.

Elite Discounts (Veterans, Seniors 60+, Alumni, Ages 13-17) available to Veterans who have served or are actively serving in any U.S. Military Branch, as well as their spouse/partner; seniors 60+ years of age, ages 13-17, MCCCD Alumni or 7+ consecutive semesters of enrollment in the Fitness Center.

Employee Discounts: available for all Maricopa Community College employees.

Senior Fitness Membership available to seniors age 60+. The rate is $60 per semester or $165 per year. To find out if you are eligible for a FREE Senior Fitness Membership through select Medicare programs, visit our Senior Fitness page or call:
