Accuplacer Placement Testing

- College Board allows students to practice for the Accuplacer placement tests. Please use the following link to access the test prep web-based app:
- To access this app enter your email address and create a password.
- Choose "Next Generation Practice Tests", which is the type of Accuplacer testing that MCCCD uses.
- College Board also has created practice Accuplacer tests that have examples of what may be on the exam. To access sample Accuplacer test questions, please use www.accuplacerpracticetest.com.
CELSA Placement
Picking the right answer to test questions is half of what a student needs to know when taking a test. Knowing how to select the correct answer on a computer also ensures success:
- Visit CELSA online examples to practice selecting the correct answer on a computer;
- Tutoring Across the College offers drop-in help for anyone that needs help learning basic computer skills to navigate the CELSA test.
Biology Assessment
The major topics covered on the Biology placement tests are outlined in the Course Description. You can view study materials by going to the Biology for Non-Majors I (Lumen) web page.
Chemistry Assessment
You can view study materials and workbooks by going to the Introductory Chemistry Online! (Young) web page, where chapters 1 - 8 are relevant to this assessment.
HESI A2 Testing
- Free study materials from Union Test Prep. This website has practice tests, flashcards, and study guides;
- The HESI A2 study book is available for purchase in our bookstore or via Elsevier online. Copies of the study book are on reserve in the GCC Library.
