Dual Enrollment 4 Steps

Students must have access to technology and the internet to proceed.

New students to college and GCC begin here, all others move to Step 2.

New students to GCC must apply for admissions to GCC and submit AZ Driver's License/State ID online at admissions.maricopa.edu. When completing the application, students must select Glendale Community College and term/semester (Fall 2024).

Eligibility for in-state tuition is determined by submitting Acceptable Documents for Citizenship and having lived in Arizona for a minimum of one year.

If you have established citizenship but have not lived in Arizona for at least one year, parent/guardian may complete the online form DOMICILE AFFIDAVIT - Dependent Student and provide the required documents on behalf of their dependent student for consideration of the in-state tuition rate. The student will sign into the online form using their MEID@maricopa.edu and password. You may need to approve your login via the Duo application. This form should be submitted before the registration deadline.

First, determine if you need to complete a college placement assessment test. For specific college course placement, refer to your high school Dual Enrollment Class List and Dual Class Prerequisites Guide. Also, you may review the Dual Placement Testing Guide for additional testing options.

If your college class requires testing, you may complete a free EdReady Placement Exam online. Use your MEID@maricopa.edu and password to sign into EdReady. You may need to approve your login via the Duo application. Use this guide to determine which EdReady test you may need. Or you may contact GCC’s Testing Services to schedule an appointment for the Accuplacer placement test. All placement tests are no cost.

Second, submit your Next Steps form for the GCC college course(s) you plan to register at.

  1. Once you have received an approval email to self-register, visit Student Tools and click on Add a Class.
  2. Log in using your MEID@maricopa.edu (example: ABC1234567@maricopa.edu) and your password. You may need to approve your login via the Duo application.
  3. Select your Maricopa Community College and the term (semester) for which you are registering. To check your class information, click here. You will need the 5-digit class number from the class list to self-register.
  4. Once you have the 5-digit class number, in the search bar, enter the 5-digit class section number and click enter. Use the enter key or click the arrow button to the right.
  5. If everything looks correct, click anywhere on the class row or the arrow on the far right. Click Enroll from the drop down menu and click Submit. This Process can be repeated for multiple classes.

If you are not able to add your class but you know you have the college course prerequisite, please contact our office. Our contact information and hours are posted to the right of this page under Contact Info.

Pay tuition and fees to the college prior to the final payment deadline. Glendale Union High School and Ridgeline Academy students ONLY will pay at their high school bookstore. View Tuition & Fees Charts to determine the cost for your classes.
