Urban Garden
The garden instructor and students maintain raised garden beds filled with a variety of local vegetables that adapt easily to the desert climate, promoting water conservation and resilience to hotter weather. Integrating gardening into coursework provides students with an opportunity to learn about sustainability and the history of the Southwest. The long-term goal is to engage more participants and share an abundant harvest with the student food pantry.
