Mathematics & Computer Science Department
GCC will meet all your Math and Computer Science needs. Our students participate in math competitions, computer programming competitions, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) club, Computer Science Organization club and tutoring for both math and computer science.
No matter if you are considering math as your major or are trying to complete math requirements for other majors, the GCC Math Department is here to assist you. We offer classes from Basic Arithmetic all the way through Calculus and Differential Equations, and Statistics. If you fear math, need to learn study skills or are not a good test taker, consider Tutored Math (MAT108), a 2-credit class that provides extra tutoring and support for your other math classes. We, also, offer all 100 and 200 level computer science courses that transfer to ASU, UofA, NAU and other university partners.
You will succeed in math! We will help.
Math courses are offered in a traditional classroom setting or with an online component: either completely online or a hybrid format (blended web-based and face-to-face classes). Some classes are taught with traditional textbook homework while others use web-based homework assignments. You may email your instructor before the semester starts to find out what type of homework is used.
