The Aspen Institute (Aspen) announced that Dr. Lorelei (Lore) Konopka at Glendale Community College (GCC), is one of 40 outstanding leaders from across the country for the 2026-27 Aspen Rising Presidents Fellowship.

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Science Directorate recently awarded $297,537 seed funding to Glendale Community College. The funding will provide GCC students with authentic lab training and experience under the guidance of experienced student leaders.

The National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship (NACCE) has bestowed a $10,000 matching grant to Glendale Community College.

Glendale Community College (GCC) recently received $492,626 from the National Science Foundation for innovation in two-year college STEM education. The funds will be used to build capacity for Undergraduate Research Experiences (URE) and Critical Inquiry.

Glendale Community College held its 14th annual Gaucho Globes award ceremony on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at the Spring 2025 Convocation. The ceremony recognized faculty and staff for exemplary service and dedication to the college.
