Band

Further your music education and gain valuable performance experience in the GCC Band program. This private lesson program for brass, woodwind and percussion students includes performance opportunities in the Symphonic Winds and the Glendale Community Band (see Jazz Program for Jazz band information). Degree-seeking students can finish a large portion of their four-year degree requirements. 

Students, if you plan to transfer credits we encourage you to contact the Director of Bands before enrolling in classes.

Symphonic Winds

MUP162 is an advanced music ensemble designed to prepare all styles of band literature from the classics to contemporary.  The band meets 4 days a week as it prepares for performances both on and off-campus. The band has been recognized as a leader in providing quality music experiences for students beyond their high school years.

Community Band

MUP161 meets Tuesday evenings, 7:10-9:45 p.m. Emphasis in this class is for the adult learner. If you were in a high school band, you can still play your instrument at GCC in the Community Band.
