Hi, my name is James Morris. I am a passionate advocate for students who are on the journey to improve their lives and the lives of their loved ones through higher education. I believe in the mission of community colleges where affordable education is made available to everyone in the community it serves. I have proudly served the community college system by supporting students, faculty, and staff in the Phoenix Metropolitan area at Phoenix College, Scottsdale Community College, and now Glendale College just shy of thirty (30) exciting years! I continue to serve, advise, assist, mentor, and encourage students with great enthusiasm as they pass our way.

Hi, my name is Ivy Avanzado. I have been serving the Maricopa Community College District for over eight years, with five of those years dedicated to serving DRS students. I hold a Master's degree in Psychology from Arizona State University. I am an experienced adjunct instructor, and have taught psychology courses and currently teaching FYE103 at Estrella Mountain Community College. In my leisure time, I enjoy traveling. So far, I have visited 12 countries outside the United States. Additionally, I find pleasure in tending my backyard vegetable garden and raising chickens with my family. I am beyond thrilled to work as a Recruiter at GCC, as I feel indebted to the college district where I received my education. I am also excited to help future GCC students navigate the complexities of the college application process, make meaningful connections with a diverse range of students, and support them as they make crucial decisions about their academic and career paths.
