Bio
Biography
I have been teaching full-time at GCC's nursing program since 2011. My main focus is teaching the Pediatric Nursing content in Block 4 for all 3 nursing cohorts. In addition, I teach intermediate medication math for nursing students and healthcare ethics. Prior to starting at GCC, I taught part-time as a clinical instructor for the nursing programs at GCC, GWCC, SCC, and U of P.
I am a Maricopa Community Colleges Graduate. I completed my ADN at Scottsdale Community College in 2004, my BSN at Grand Canyon University in 2006, and my MSN-Ed at the University of Phoenix in 2011. I have been a pediatric nurse for my entire nursing career. I hold a pediatric nursing certification from the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB). I am a member of the Society of Pediatric Nurses (SPN), American Nurses Association (ANA), and Sigma Theta Tau International (SSTI). I completed my Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Educational Leadership (DNP-Ed) degree at American Sentinel College of Nursing at Post University in 2021.
