Program Details

Ford ASSET students attend 8-week sessions of classroom and laboratory instruction, followed by 14 weeks of full-time paid cooperative work experience at the student's sponsoring dealership. This process allows the student to apply recent technical knowledge in a professional dealership environment. The total program takes just over one and a half years to complete, with 32 weeks spent at GCC and 52 weeks at the student's sponsoring dealership.

Ford Motor Company provides vehicles, training aids, special tools and current service literature, and collaborates with GCC to develop targeted curriculum. Completion of the ASSET program satisfies some Ford Dealer training requirements.

Ford ASSET instructors meet rigorous and continuous educational training standards. See more information about the national Ford Asset program.
