Seth Bärtschi is a freelance trombonist in the Phoenix area and serves on the board with the Phoenix Brass Collective with which he plays bass trombone. He often performs with such groups as Phoenix Symphony, Phoenix Opera, Arizona Opera, West Valley Symphony, Salt River Brass, Symphony of the Southwest, Arizona Philharmonic and Millennial Choirs Orchestra. Seth has also performed with Simply Three, Three2U, Air Force Band of the Rockies, Phoenix Theatre, Arizona Broadway Theatre, Arizona Theatre Company, Extreme Decibel Big Band, Phoenix Trombone Ensemble, Red Rock Brass Quintet, Moon Valley Brass Quintet and Carlos Rivas Salsa Band.
In addition to teaching brass and trombone at Glendale Community College Seth maintains a busy personal lessons studio. His teachers include Ralph Sauer, Douglas Yeo, Sam Pilafian and Peter Vivona. Seth has been recorded on four commercially released albums including a solo track of Rachmaninoff’s Fantasy Piece on the album "Living Legacy". He is also an aviation enthusiast with a private pilot's license and flies camera and FPV drones to capture cinematic aerial footage.
