The GCC Accounting Program has teamed up with A New Leaf to offer income tax assistance. The service is free to the community at large. The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is available through April 9 at multiple locations, including GCC!
VITA will be at Glendale Community College
Tuesdays | 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
B Building, Room 106
Services are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Anyone not required for tax preparation service (children/additional people) is not permitted at the sites.
GCC will be closed on March 12 for Spring Break.
VITA offers three tax preparation options
Traditional Return Preparation Method
- Bring all your required documents to a VITA site location.
- Fill out the required paperwork and sign consent forms.
- Have your taxes prepared the same day while you wait on-site.
Drop-Off Service
- Bring all your required documents to a VITA site location.
- Fill out the required paperwork and sign the consent forms.
- Drop off your documents after a brief interview with a volunteer.
- Return the following week to sign and pick up your completed taxes.
Do It Yourself
- Go to a specific URL available only at/from VITA sites or email vitaanl20@gmail.com.
- Set up an online account and E-File your Federal & State returns yourself for FREE.
