College Preparation
Don’t worry about your ability to handle college-level courses. With the goal of providing you with opportunities to achieve academic success, GCC offers college preparation courses and testing that can show you which courses you should register for.
If you want to register for an English, reading or math course (or any course for which English, reading or math is a prerequisite) you must take a placement test in those subjects. If the tests so indicate, we urge you to register for a preparation courses to build your skills, since your academic success will depend on being in the right courses.
College preparation courses are often called developmental or remedial courses. They are designed to develop skills essential for your success in college-level courses. GCC offers these courses to better prepare you for your academic success. Click here for information about placement test.
