This computer was built as a replacement for 10 of the 3100SCs in the Animation Lab. This build improved processing and rendering times within 3D Studio Max. The video card was needed to help with screen refresh and scene rotation. Also, applications such as Photoshop and Premiere Pro took advantage of the dual core architecture.

Due to the dual core architecture and the limited quantity, we have decided to only place this computer where specific administrative usage requires this kind of horse power. The Quadro video card has been removed and will be replaced by an adequate video card before the computer is placed.
