How to request a New FAX Machine

Requester must contact District Telecom to initiate a work order to verify the availability of an analog phone line and assign a phone number to the line so it can be equipped with a FAX machine. District Telecom will verify analog line and provide a FAX phone number.  To initiate the work order, link to the District Help Desk to submit a work order via the web

After the work order has been resolved with District Telecom, the requester needs to contact Technology Support Services to request the purchase of a FAX machine for their office/department.  The requester will provide the following for the campus work order;

  1. A CFS account code
  2. Verification that an analog phone line is available for service
  3. Location (Building/Room) for FAX machine

Technology Support Services will process the request and notify the requester when the PO has been created and faxed to the vendor

When the FAX machine arrives, Technology Support Services will update the work order for installation. A GCIS Technician will install the new FAX machine

How to Request a Replacement FAX Machine

  1. Choose a FAX Machine from the list of campus standard machines (View current models here)
  2. Contact (Email) Technology Support Services with CFS account code,
  3. Location (Building/Room) for replacement FAX machine
  4. Model you would like to have purchased

Technology Support Services will process the request by generating a work order and will notify the requester when the PO has been created and faxed to the vendor

When the FAX machine arrives, Technology Support Services will generate a work order for installation. A GCIS Technician will install the replacement FAX machine
