Fruitful opportunities in Club Fair
By Amanda WilliamsReporter, The VOICE
For as long as students have been in school, teachers have always told you to, "Get involved!", "Get to know your campus community!" But why? What is the point? Why should you care?
The Club Fair just might be the answer to all of these questions.

Club Fairs create an exhilarating atmosphere for GCC students.
Glendale Community College (GCC) is host to over 30 active clubs. All of which will have a display set up at the college fair to promote their group.
Each club will be prepared to describe what their club is all about, what their purpose is, the different activities and events planned for the year, and how they'll benefit you throughout you time at GCC.
Joining clubs while attending GCC will help you make connections with the community around you that share the same views and purposes as you. The students and advisers will essentially become your lifeline in the hustle and bustle of the college life.
Clubs like Sigma Chi Eta, which is a National Honor Society club for Communication majors; Students for Life, a club which promotes and raises awareness about pro-life and is linked with the Crisis Pregnancy Center; Young Life, a club that fellowships with other students and talks about the daily struggle of the Christian life; the list goes on and on.
Maybe you should listen to what your teachers have been telling you all these years, and get involved. Maybe getting to know the GCC campus and all of its activities actually will make your college experience more worthwhile.
Why not find out?
