For the Friday event, the 2009 headliners include; Paul McCartney, Morrissey, and Franz Ferdinand. Saturday's headliners are; The Killers, M.I.A., and Thievery Corporation. The headliners on the final day, Sunday are; The Cure, My Bloody Valentine, and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. British diva Amy Winehouse was scheduled to perform at this year's festival but cancelled.

Accompanied by more obscure bands like Billy Talent, Silversun Pickups, The Ting Tings, Lupe Fiasco, Atmosphere, and tons more, the festival has something in store for all genres of life.

In supplement to the musical art the festival also features sculptures and instillation art, interactive pieces that provide entertainment and a pleasing aesthetics for attendees.

Camping grounds around the facility are provided for traveling visitors. What to expect is not expected when deciding to camp at Coachella, it is here, when the sun goes down, where the memories and fun begin.

Justine Hecht, GCC student and seasoned veteran of the Coachella Music Festival said, "Coachella is a whole experience, it's not just the bands and music, but the people, the art, the scenery, everything. It's a place where you can go for one weekend a year and all the stress and worry and icky stuff of real life can just disappear for awhile while you rock your ass off!"

Each year the Coachella music festival stirs up an atmosphere of anticipation, sweat, and an adrenaline rush connected solely to the screams and vibrations of the music.
