Keeping Christmas simple, fun, and creative

Love the holidays? Out of cash? Everyone knows nothing is free! But a great deal may be the next best thing.
When it comes to decorating your home for the holidays instead of spending hundreds of dollars on big plastic reindeer that glow, get some construction paper and some markers and find holiday decoration cut outs found on various websites. You can also take green and red construction paper, cut them into long strips, fold them to look like a circle and connect them to give you a cheap but nicely look of garland.
You can use cotton balls, paper bags, and paint to make Santa Claus, and all these activities are way more fun if you have kids then waiting in a long line at Wal-Mart while your kid screams candy I want candy!
As far as food goes, simplify it, I know I look forward to eating all I can eat, but this isn't the last supper, eat what you can afford, after all your new year's resolution is going to be to lose weight anyway!
When it comes to presents for kids, many people splurge on these outrageously overpriced gifts that get broken, lost or lose interest.
Kids love to have fun, it doesn't matter with what, the 99 cent store offers tons of gifts from foam swords, coloring books, baseball bats and princess wands.
Your're killing two birds with one stone, saving money and your kids will appreciate the large quantity of toys, instead of just opening one.
People will appreciate the thought and effort put into it, and it's especially good if you have that one person in your family that never knows what they want and they end up getting the same card with candy and some bath soap every year.
