Review of vampire thriller

By Rogelio Macias
Freelance Reporter, The VOICE

In the dark and misty woods of Forks, WA, two teenagers are falling in love, being consumed by an unseen force that draws them together no matter how mush they resist it. There is just one catch, only one of them is a teenager, while the other is almost a century old.

Bella Swan is a clumsy 17- year- old who has sent herself to the purgatory of the Olympic Peninsula. There she finds the woods, rain, and Edward Cullen. Edward Cullen is an intelligent and handsome vampire just trying to go through existence unnoticed. A mysterious and beautiful creature, Bella finds herself in a fairy tale or horror story, depending on how you look at it. Don't get overwhelmed by images of Dracula and write it off to be some geeky sci-fi nerds dream story.

Stephanie Meyer is the author of Twilight the first of four books in the saga. She has been meticulous and has literally re-written the vampire genre, you will not find the ridiculous stake through the heart antics or garlic clichés in this tale.

November 21, fans of the epic novels will be able to flood the movie theaters across the country and get a visual huger satisfied as they watch the film adaptation to the book. Twilight has the potential of being catapulted into greatness, joining the ranks of "Harry Potter" and "Lord of the Rings."

The plot can satisfy all audience members by supplying action, eye candy, and a timeless romance. You will not be able to resist the pull of adoration for the characters and the story. The cult-like following of the books thus far is sure to double once the movie hit theaters. Challenge yourself to read or watch this mind and life altering entity that has definitely secured its spot in this generation's pop culture credentials.
