GCC hosts bi-annual club fair to recruit new students

The Glendale Community Campus (GCC) offers 36 different clubs and organizations to catch each interest and involve the students.
There is a wide variety of these clubs, ranging from the Animation Club to the Associated Student Government. Each club's objective is to engage students in a group of interest and to expand their knowledge of the main initiative of the club of their choice. Students wanting to gain a better understanding of an individual club or organization should visit the GCC website; go to Student Activities and choose the Clubs and Organizations link. Each one gives a brief description and advisor to contact if interested or have any questions about the club.
Here are just a few offered and described on the website: www.gccaz.edu/CurrentStudents/StudentsActivities/clubs Animation Club: To expand the knowledge and developments of computer animation.
Associated Student Government: Attempts to unify students, and to promote the rights students have placed for them.
Firefighter's Challenge: To learn from first hand currently employed on the fire department, and to also provide information to high schools about the programs.
Music Business II: to give students a better understanding of the music industry of today. Student Support Services Club: Provides positive support to those who are having a difficult time with social or academic aspects.
Students for Life: To raise an awareness of the pro-life movement and to connect and volunteer with the Glendale Crisis Pregnancy Center.
Young Life: Provides fellowship for students attending, and to learn and discuss topics that deal with Christianity and daily life situations.
"September 9th and the 10th in the Student Union from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. students may gain information from students in the clubs and organizations," states Connie Greenwell. These are only a few of the clubs and organizations provided by the website. If interested in others that were not mentioned, take the time to look them up and get involved with the campus.
