Skin care products are the most commonly purchased products in America.

Teenagers, young adults and senior citizens are worrying about their skin and how it looks. From acne to wrinkles, to dry or oily skin, these are all big problems that we are faced with today.

As the summer comes and brings dry heat, we are all left wondering how to treat our skin and keep it glowing and healthy. Acne is the number one worry for most teenagers and especially body acne. It can be terrible living in Arizona, wanting to wear your bathing suit but feeling like you're being judged.

However, you are not helpless and there are great things you can do to get that acne to disappear. Washing your face and body once in the morning and once at night will help keep bacteria from seeping into your pores and causing acne. However, don't overwash your skin as this will cause dryness and your body will not be able to produce the healthy oils it needs to keep your skin healthy.

Another great natural healer of acne is to get a little sun but make sure to use sunscreen. The UV rays will dry out any acne and will help you recover your beautiful looking skin. Products with Salicylic Acid can help dry out acne as well as prevent although be sure to keep your skin lotioned with a dermatologist approved cream such as Cetaphil, non-comedogenic and fragrance free. You can purchase this cream at almost any common grocery store.

Now if your acne is very bad and you break out all over your body, consult a dermatologist in your area and ask about Acutaine. Acutaine is not right for every one and can be very dangerous, but it is guaranteed to clear your skin in a matter of months.

For oily skin and shiny foreheads rice paper comes in little packs sold at Sally's Beauty Supply or even Target. Clean and Clear also has oil papers to just wipe the oil off your face.

For wrinkles it is very important to stay hydrated by drinking lots of water. There are many ways to avoid wrinkles without going through plastic surgery. There are also many skin firming creams out there that should include either Alpha lipoic acid, DMAE or vitamin C. Skin care is as easy as you make it, and with the proper care you will have your skin glowing and looking great in no time.
