Cheba Hut satisfies mid-day munchies

By Jenny Duffy

The nation's only marijuana-themed restaurant, Cheba Hut, expanded into Glendale Feb. 16 and sits facing Glendale Community College (GCC).

Appropriately, they moved into what used to be Trails Department Store on 59th and Olive and Trails took their bongs, Jimi Hendrix t-shirts and business across the plaza. No longer can the constant smell of Nag Champa be found here but instead the air gives off the lovely aromas of Chronic, Kush, White Widow and even Jamaican Red. Not the illegal stuff that comes in a baggie; they're names of a few sandwiches that Cheba Hut offers. They named all the menu items after popular names for marijuana.

The words we use have a power all of their own
