Don't know what to get that special someone?

As people we have a desire to please one another, and as a symbol of this desire we turn holidays and special occasions into a mad frenzy to one-up people we know and those we don't.

Every holiday season we go into stores or jump on the internet and buy gifts for people we see everyday and for people we have not seen since we were 12 or so.

Well, next month is not the month to send gifts to strangers who we once knew; it is the month to think about the ones we love who love us back and on the 14th it is the day to show them that love. The 14th is Valentine's Day, which is the day to celebrate with the one person whom we love and who loves us back.

Gift buying for that someone special is a hard task if you do not know that someone. If you've only been together since the New Year has started, then you have hopefully known each other some time. If not, then you both have some researching to do on one another.

Ladies please, don't tell us you don't want something. It is a nice gesture and we appreciate it, but we know that if we do not get you something then we will be looking at making it up to you and your family and friends for the rest of our relationship. So, when we ask you any question, no matter how strange, answer it honestly and do not have us trying to be Tom Cruise in "Mission Impossible."

Now, if we have been a couple for some time and we have exchanged gifts before, the gift you got last year will not be outdone this year. Men understand that Valentines' Day is for love and that you ladies want to feel special so we will do our best and get you a gift that we think you'll like and that we hope you will not go to your family, friends, associates, schoolmates and tell them that you cannot believe what we have gotten you.

Now if you do not like to buy online or you are nervous about it for one reason or another, these sites you still can use for helpful ideas and then go to your special ladies/gentlemen's favorite store or stores and go hunting. You can also bounce gift ideas off of your female/male friends for help be careful though you do not want to get a gift for your special someone that looks good on your friend.
