College President offers spring semester welcome to students both old and new
Dear Students,
Welcome to the Spring 2008 semester at Glendale Community College!
For those of you who are returning to GCC this semester, we are very glad to have you back! For new students, you made the right choice to come to GCC! Everyone here is ready and eager to help you achieve your educational goals. Our faculty is second to none and are readily available to you outside of class when you need them. Our entire staff–from the people who register you in the Enrollment Center to the Maintenance and Operations staff who keep this campus beautiful for you to the High Tech Center folks who assist you in our state-of-the-art computer facilities–are all here to serve you. I encourage you to take advantage of all GCC has to offer. In addition to our two High Tech Centers, we have a terrific Library/Media Center, tutors, a Math Solutions center, a mentoring program, Multicultural Center, a Scholarship Office, great sports teams, plays, student clubs, cultural/musical events, and much more! I have spent 26 years working in community colleges, and know that they are wonderful places for students to change their lives, build self-esteem, expand their horizons, make friends, and attain their educational goals. I want all of that to happen for YOU at GCC! I hope to meet many of you during the next few months, and I wish you all a successful and rewarding semester.
