AET101

Private Pilot Ground School, FAR Part 61 / 5 credits 5 periods

Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) Part 61 ground school in preparation for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Private Pilot Certificate written examination. Includes aerodynamics, airplane systems, airports, airspace, communications, federal aviation regulations, weather, navigation, airplane performance, flight planning, and flight physiology.

Prerequisites: None.

AET201

Instrument Rating Ground School, FAR Part 61 / 5 credits 5 periods

Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) Part 61 ground school in preparation for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Instrument rating written examination. Includes instrument, navigation, and engine indication systems; airspace; Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to instrument flight; weather, air traffic control procedures; and charts and approach plates. Flight planning, operations, and physiology.

Prerequisites: Completion of AET101 with a grade of "C" or better, or FAA Private Pilot Certificate, or permission of instructor.
