Admissions Policy

1. Is a graduate of a high school, which is accredited by a regional accrediting association as defined by the United States Office of Education or approved by a State Department of Education or other appropriate state educational agency
2. Has a high school certificate of equivalency (GED)
3. Is at least 18 years of age and demonstrates evidence of potential success in the community college
4. Is a transfer student in good standing from another college or university.

Admission* may be granted to any person under age 18 who completes any one of the following requirements:

1. a composite score of 93 or more on the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT)
2. a composite score of 930 or more on the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)
3. a composite score of twenty-two (22) or more on the American College Test (ACT)
4. a passing score on the relevant portions of the Arizona Instrument to Measure Standards (AIMS) test
5. the completion of a college placement test designated by the community college district that indicates the students is at the appropriate level for the course
6. is a graduate of a private or public high school or has a high school certificate of equivalency

Admission* with Special Status may be granted to any person who:

1. Is age 16 or older and meets course requirements based on assessment
2. Is under age 18 and has taken college assessment tests to demonstrate necessary academic skill level to benefit from course. Departments may have additional requirements.
3. Is a participant in a special program sponsored by the admitting college

Admission to Western Undergraduate Exchange Program (WUE) may be granted to any person who:

1. Resides in a WUE recognized state
2. Indicates intent on Student Information Form at time of admission
3. Does not intend to establish Arizona residency
