Admissions Policy
Admission may be granted to any person who:- Is a graduate of a high school, which is accredited by a regional accrediting association as defined by the United States Office of Education or approved by a State Department of Education or other appropriate state educational agency
- Has a high school certificate of equivalency (GED)
- Is at least 18 years of age and demonstrates evidence of potential success in the community college
- Is a transfer student in good standing from another college or university.
Student Information Form
Admission* may be granted to any person under age 18 who completes any one of the following requirements:
- a composite score of 93 or more on the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT)
- a composite score of 930 or more on the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)
- a composite score of twenty-two (22) or more on the American College Test (ACT)
- a passing score on the relevant portions of the Arizona Instrument to Measure Standards (AIMS) test
- the completion of a college placement test designated by the community college district that indicates the students is at the appropriate level for the course
- is a graduate of a private or public high school or has a high school certificate of equivalency
Student Information Form and Request for Admission Students Under the Age of 18 form*
Admission* with Special Status may be granted to any person who:
- Is age 16 or older and meets course requirements based on assessment
- Is under age 18 and has taken college assessment tests to demonstrate necessary academic skill level to benefit from course. Departments may have additional requirements.
- Is a participant in a special program sponsored by the admitting college

Admission to Western Undergraduate Exchange Program (WUE) may be granted to any person who:
- Resides in a WUE recognized state
- Indicates intent on Student Information Form at time of admission
- Does not intend to establish Arizona residency
