Multicultural Affairs Application Deadlines / Timelines
Prospective students and enrolled students do not have to necessarily adhere to stated deadlines for application to college. The application process is computerized and on-going. Typical semesters are as follows:
| Semester | Time period |
|---|---|
| FALL SEMESTER | Begins in late August and ends in mid December (sixteen weeks) |
| SPRING SEMESTER | Begins in mid-January and ends in mid-May. |
| SUMMER SESSIONS | Begin in early June with two five-week daytime Summer Sessions and one eight-week evening session. |
NOTE: There are also SHORT-TERM CLASSES in every semester and significant educational opportunities in OPEN-ENTRY/OPEN-EXIT CLASSES where students can work at their own pace and time schedule.
OPEN-ENTRY CLASS: The Open-Entry class options also includes weekend attendance options to complete class and computer laboratory requirements. (See High Tech Center for more information.) There are steps in the process to enroll that should be completed within certain timelines prior to actual enrollment and direct assistance is provided to each individual prospective student. It is strongly suggested that students who will require/need financial aid assistance consider applying for assistance two months prior to their anticipated registration/enrollment date to alleviate financial difficulty/hardships.
