Step 2: Course Placement Testing
New or returning students must submit a Student Information Form to the Enrollment Center before testing.Course placement tests are administered by Testing Services located in the Testing and Disability Services (TDS) building on the Main campus or Student Services building at GCC north. Student must arrive on time, bring current photo identification and a #2 pencil.
Students should present a copy of their test scores to the Academic Advisor and Enrollment Services Technician.
Testing is required for:
- Students enrolling an English, mathematics, or a reading course, or a course for which English, mathematics, or reading is a prerequisite.
- Degree seeking students.
- Financial aid recipients.
- Students whose primary language is not English.
Testing Services (Assessment Center) is located in the Testing and Disability Services building . Course placement testing takes approximately two hours. Please be on time.

ACCUPLACER
ACCUPLACER tests are given Monday through Thursday from 8:15 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Please Note: College is closed on Fridays May through July. Additional testing is available on selected Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. during the months of January and August.
