Club
Advisor/Officer Training
- We have now made club officer / advisor training sessions
mandatory. If your group is planning on hosting any events, traveling,
or spending any money this
academic year you will first
need to attend one of the sessions, which
are being offered at a variety of time slots and dates. Please visit
the Student
Life Calendar of Events to view available dates and time & then
contact
the Student Leadership Center or Connie Greenwell
directly to
reserve your space.

The
Student Leadership Center has once again created planners for GCC's
Student
Leaders.
New planners will be distributed to all club officers during their
orientation session.

is being posted and updated. Your comments are appreciated in regard to

Greenwell with any thing that you'd like to see added to the guide.
MCCD
Student Public Policy Forum
One
or two
students from GCC will receive an opportunity to participate with a
team
of students from all over the District in a study of the politics and
public
policy of government and lobbying at local and national levels.
Includes
workshops, conferences, and hands-on interaction with policymakers.

Service Ideas?
Travel
It was
another
banner year for our student groups to travel to conferences all over
the
nation. The heavy demand that it makes on the Student Leadership
Center to
coordinate
all the details and paperwork requires us to stipulate that ALL travel
by student clubs and organizations MUST be scheduled and approved NO
LATER
than 1 month prior to travel. An appointment should be made with Connie Greenwell
anywhere from 6 months to 1 month before travel dates. The
earlier the better! |
