Solicitation - Petition Signature Collection Policy

Petition Signature Solicitation

The Maricopa County Community College District has established district-wide guidelines for representatives who wish to solicit signatures for petitions. However, the following guidelines governing access to the college premises are specific to the Glendale Community College campus:

  • Petitioners must receive approval from the Office of Student Life no less than 3 business days prior to soliciting signatures. To obtain approval a *Petitioner Signature Solicitation/Voter Registration Request must be completed and a copy of the petition must be attached.
  • Petitioners may request up to 10 consecutive business days for the purpose of soliciting signatures on campus.
  • Petitioners are expected to provide their own table(s), but no more than 2.
  • Designated areas are the Student Union Hallway and Student Union Breezeway only.
  • Petitioners are to remain behind tables and are not permitted to approach students to solicit signatures.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Any solicitor who violates our administrative regulation may be deemed a trespasser on college or center
premises, and therefore subject to appropriate prosecution within the discretion of the College
Safety department and other responsible officials of the college or center.
