This class is preparation for the State of Arizona security guard certification. It includes criminal laws, use of force, legal authority, communication, crime scene preservation, and emergency response procedures.

Typical coursework includes:

• Legal authority of a security guard
• Uniform and grooming requirements
• Basic requirements for written and verbal communication
• Proper use of force
• Proper crime scene preservation

Cost: The class is one-half (.5) credit hour and there is a $5 lab fee. If you are not registered for a class at GCC, there is also a $15 registration fee.

Format: 8-hr. classroom time receiving certification in one day. Classes are offered on weekdays and Saturdays.
