When to Apply for GCC and Maricopa Community College Scholarships
New GCC Students: President's Honors Scholarship - Apply by July 1
Recent high school graduates who ranked in the top 20% of their graduating class or who scored exceptionally high on GCC placement tests may apply for the Presidents' Honors Scholarship. The Presidents' Honors Scholarship covers the cost of in-county tuition for 15 credit hours per semester, and automatically renews for a total of four consecutive semesters (summers excluded) as long the student meets the criteria for renewal. Apply by July 1.
GCC Academic Works Scholarships (Open Year Round.)
Individual GCC Scholarships are posted Online as they become available. Submit a separate application for each scholarship.
When to apply: Check the site monthly as dates vary for each scholarship.
Who should apply: Each scholarship has its own criteria. Criteria might include your major or degree program, ethnicity, financial need, interests, and more.

Mikus $1,000 Liberal Arts Scholarship - Apply by April 8, 2016
Apply anytime between March 28, 2016 - April 8, 2016.
Dr. Andrew & Patricia J Mikus (MCCF) is a privately funded Liberal Arts Scholarship. Download Mikus Scholarship flier.
Criteria: 3.0 GPA, Full-time student, and have accumulated or are enrolled in 9 credit hours in courses with the following prefixes: ARH, ASB 202/222/223, ASM 104, ECN 160, ENH, HIS, SUM, MHL, POS 110/221/222/223 and REL. Be sure to fill out the online application completely.

Nina Mason Pulliam Scholarship - Apply by March 1, 2016
Covers full tuition, fees, books, provides a $2,750 annual living allowance, and provides each student with an academic advisor mentor.
Deadline to apply: March 1, yearly. Do any of these describe you?

Maricopa Foundation Scholarships (privately funded) - Apply Feb. 8-28, 2016
The Foundation is giving away over $700,000 in scholarships for the Fall 2016 semester. Open to all MCCCD students.
When to apply: Apply for scholarships for the Fall 2016 semester from Feb. 8-28, 2016. (The application period for Foundations Scholarships for the Spring 2017 semester will open in Sept. 2016.)
Who should apply: Everyone! Criteria varies based on the scholarship, one application will allow you to be considered for all scholarships for which you meet the criteria. So, be sure to take the time to fill out the online application completely.

Transferring to a University? Apply for Transfer Scholarships! Apply by Feb. 28, 2016
Online applications accepted Through Feb. 28, 2016 at Academicworks. Also, be sure to contact the Financial Aid or Scholarship Office of the institution you are transferring to, and ask about available scholarships. Here are just a few: Arizona State University, Grand Canyon University, Northern Arizona University and University of Arizona.
|English / Journalism Teaching Scholarship||GCC Student majoring in English or Journalism, must enroll in and successfully complete a minimum of 9 credit hours per semester, and must maintain a minimum 3.5 GPA.||$650|
|GCC Alumni Endowment Transfer Scholarship||GCC graduate or transfer student, 3.25 GPA, and completion of 30 credit hours at GCC||$250-$500|
|Leland & Nancy Stanley Scholarship||A GCC graduate who has participated in the GCC Athletic program within the last three years, accepted to attend NAU or ASU, demonstrated financial need, volunteer service and work experience. Preferences will be given to students 22 years of age or older, veterans, and to graduates of Wickenburg High School.||Up to $1,500|
|Diane H. Thomas Scholarship for GCC Alumni||A GCC graduating student, 3.0 GPA, transferring to an accredited four-year college or university for the upcoming academic year, and demonstrating financial need.||Up to $10,000|
