Guilty! Guilty! Guilty! Not guilty!

Glendale Community College's (GCC's) fall theatrical production of the emotionally charged drama Twelve Angry Jurors is coming up in mid November.

The three-act play by Sherman L. Sergel is adapted from the 1954 Emmy Award-winning teleplay Twelve Angry Men by Reginald Rose. The teleplay later was adapted into a 1957 movie starring Henry Fonda, Lee J. Cobb, Jack Klugman and others and became one of the most compelling legal dramas of that decade and beyond.

Director and GCC Performing Arts faculty David Seitz explained Twelve Angry Jurors is modified to include women as jurors, providing increased opportunities for more diverse interactions among citizens involved in heated discussions as they decide the fate of a 19-year-old man who has stood trial for the fatal stabbing of his father.

Six performances of Twelve Angry Jurors are scheduled during Nov. 13-15 and 19-21. Times will be announced.
