Waitlist:
Potentially there could be a wait of up to 5 semesters (2.5 Years) from time of application until you are placed in a MaricopaNursing Program.
We have no way to know if the CEP will extend the waiting time on the list , but while waiting you should consider completing all co-requisities for the nursing program AND taking courses such as:

  • HCR 240 Pathophysiology
  • FON 241 Nutrition
  • HCC 145AA Medical Terminology

which will will assist you when you are admitted into the program.

FIRST - Visit www.my.maricopa.edu to admit yourself to GCC.

Set up your Maricopa Enterprise ID (MEID) and password.
Complete the Student Information Form online through MCCCD Admissions or cComplete a paper Student Information Form at the Admissions counter in the Enrollment Center
SECOND - select your next step:
1. Never completed a college course?
Take Course Placement Testing in English, Reading and Mathematics Go online at www.gccaz.edu/testingservices for times and practice test information
2. Transfer coursework from another institution (college and/or university)

Request official transcripts from all former
institutions and have them sent to GCC

THIRD - Attend a Mandatory Pre-Nursing Information Session*
They are conducted twice weekly (excluding holidays) at each of our 2 campuses:
For Monday 4/9 and 4/16, the morning Pre-Nursing session will be scheduled in LS108 instead of LS273.

4:00pm-6:00pm in LS 108
  Wednesdays
3:00pm-5:00pm in C 130
* Sessions start promptly as stated above.
Nobody will be allowed in 15 minutes after session has begun.

FOURTH - Pre-Nursing Advisement 
Once you have attended a Mandatory Pre-Nursing Information Session, you can meet with a nursing advisor during the following times:

There will be no advisement March 15 & 16 due to Spring Break
