StrengthsQuest
Glendale Community College's Nursing program offers all incoming nursing students the opportunity to complete an assessment and personalized instruction geared towards helping them succeed in the program, as well as their life plan. Based on the principles of Positive Psychology, StrengthsQuest provides students with a talent assessment that allows them to discover their top five themes of talent and learn to develop strengths. This unique opportunity allows students to: • use their strengths to improve their grades and increase their learning • focus on their strengths rather than their weaknesses In addition to learning about themselves, students learn about their instructors' strengths, in order to gain further insight and foster mutual acceptance and understanding.This collaborative program brings together the students, Counseling, Career Services and Nursing Departments, to enhance opportunities for short-term and long-term success.
