Fun With Science
The SciTech Festival returns to GCC, 4-7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 21 on the central mall grass between the PS and LS buildings. The Physical Science and Life Science departments will display 50 different booths dedicated to hands-on activities, demonstrations, games and fantastic information.
With events designed for the entire science-loving family, kids of all ages can play with liquid nitrogen and dry ice, see elephant toothpaste erupt, watch hydrogen explosions, pan for gold, touch a starfish, see biological specimens, launch a rocket, check out STEM programs here on campus, see student science projects, and explore a patrol car.
Since last year, the festival at GCC has grown nearly fifty percent, with more booths and departments participating. See demonstrations and experiments by Chemistry, Green Efforts, STEM club, Geology, Physics, Law Enforcement, Math, Psi Beta club, Nursing, Fitness and Wellness, Library, Technology and Anthropology.
