New Athletic Logo for GCC Unveiled and Available

Officials at Glendale Community College have unveiled a new logo for the Gaucho Athletics Program, honorably retiring the original Gaucho Athletics logo that served the campus for 40 years. The new gaucho has been given an updated and more modern look; he also presents a slightly "tougher" image, especially appropriate for the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Champion Gaucho Football team.

A gaucho is basically a cowboy of the South American pampas (plains) with a distinctive style of hat and work costume. Like the North American cowboy, Gauchos are reputed to be strong and hard working.
