Education Leads to Jobs, Higher Pay; Classes Start at GCC July 3 and Aug. 19
Glendale Community College is a great place to begin an educational path that will lead to good-paying jobs and prepare students for university transfer. With more than 2,000 classes and more than 100 certificate and degree programs offered, students will find what they need to get started. Recent surveys find the employment outlook for college graduates is good, especially for those in the financial, engineering and teaching fields. Seventy percent of hiring managers say they plan to recruit recent college graduates in 2006, and one in four expect to hire more new grads than last year, according to CareerBuilder.com's annual survey on college hiring. Studies show that students who attend college earn more throughout their lifetime than those who do not. Summer Session II begins Monday, July 3. Fall semester begins Aug. 19. To receive a GCC summer or fall schedule by mail, call 623.845.3333. Registration is underway and students are encouraged to register now as classes fill rapidly. GCC is located at 6000 W. Olive Ave. in Glendale.
