GCC's Youth Tech Camp 2006 Introduces Teens to Technology Career Paths
What: Glendale Community College's 8th Annual Tech Camp
Where:
Glendale Community College, 6000 West Olive Ave., Glendale
When:
Tues., Aug. 1 through Thurs., Aug. 3, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Glendale Community College, the Western Maricopa Tech Prep Consortium, and the National Science Foundation.
Who can apply:
Students entering their junior or senior school year 2006-2007 can apply. Application form at www.gc.maricopa.edu/techcamp.
Curriculum:
Hands-on fun projects include robotics, rocket science, electronics, computer-aided design, programming and CISCO networking; industry tours; campus tour; career advisement/counseling
Benefits:
Receive 1.5 college credits; enjoy "hands-on" lab experiences; obtain career advisement; make new friends; participate in teams; interact with faculty
Cost:
Free to those who qualify and are accepted, as described in the Tech Camp Application Form
Requirement:
Accepted students and their parents are required to attend a Tech Camp Orientation Meeting prior to the beginning of camp.
