Free "Celebration of the Arts" at GCC, April 23
Retrospective displays of GCC's national award-winning creative arts publication, The Traveler, will be featured at a free "Celebration of the Arts" reception, Sat., April 23, from 2:00-5:00 p.m., as part of the college's year-long 40th anniversary festivities. The event will be held in the Student Union Lounge; refreshments will be served. Now in its 38th year, The Traveler includes student work in painting, photography, poetry and short stories. The publication enjoys a national reputation for consistent excellence, having won the 2003 Columbia Scholastic Press Association Gold Medal and numerous other national awards. The retrospective will be presented alongside the Spring GCC Student Art Exhibit, featuring 350 juried media artworks. GCC is located at 6000 W. Olive Avenue in Glendale.
