GCC Hosts Lively International Festival, April 6-7
Break out the drums, the castanets and the guitars as Glendale Community College hosts its annual International Festival April 6 and 7. Sponsored by GCC's International Education Program, colorful festivities will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. both days on the central mall of the campus located at 59th and Olive Avenues in Glendale. This free, public event will feature music, dance, entertainment, crafts for sale and exhibits from many lands. Vendors will offer delicious foods from around the world, and some GCC faculty, staff and students will wear ethnic dress and national costumes to add to the fun, color and excitement.

Wed., April 6
10:00 a.m. "Nosotrosound:" Latin American folk music
11:00 a.m. "Oceans Apart:" Celtic (Irish) music and dance
12:00 p.m. "Linda Machado y Danzas de Espaņa:" Spanish Flamenco Dance
1:00 p.m. "Kawambe Omowale Group:" African dances
Thurs., April 7
10:00 a.m. "Ken Koshio:" Japanese folk music
11:00 a.m. "Africa Tam Tam:" African music and dancing
12:00 p.m. German folk music
1:00 p.m. "MeiKuei Chan Cruise:" Chinese folk dances
