20th Annual "BASSMASTER University" at Glendale Community College Jan. 17-18
For all bass fishermen with cabin fever, Glendale Community College (GCC) has got the cure! On Sat. Jan. 17 and Sun. Jan. 18, GCC will present its 20th Annual BASSMASTER University where local bass fishing enthusiasts will learn the secrets of the pros. The seminar will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., both days, in the GCC Student Union Lounge at 6000 W. Olive Avenue in Glendale.
This event features six of America's top bass pros as instructors, including the BASSMASTER Classic Champion George Cochran who won the title in 1987 and 1996. Also instructing will be BASSMASTER Classic Champions David Fritts and Ken Cook. Fritts also captured the BASS Angler of the Year title in 1994. The instructor slate is rounded out by Gary Klein, Arizona pro Mark Kile of Payson, and local pro John Murray of Phoenix.
Registration fee for the two-day event is $99. A spouse or child under 16 may register for $50 when attending with a full-fee adult.
To register with a credit card and reserve your seat, call Glendale Community College at 623-845-3333. Register in person at the GCC Enrollment Center from 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Fridays.
