GCC's New Classes Easy to Find Online
In response to trends and community demand, Glendale Community College offers many new courses for the Fall 2003 semester, adding to the 1500 courses offered last year. To make them easily and quickly accessible, a link on the GCC web page takes you right to them. New courses run the gamut from "Oral Interpretation and Performance," and "Chicano Literature," to "The Modern Middle East," "Psychology of Religion," and "African/Black Psychology." There are many new business and computer classes as well. Some are offered through convenient "distance learning" online. To explore these varied classes, visit

Glendale Community College Offers Array of Sewing Classes
What better way to celebrate National Sewing Month in September than to be enrolled in a sewing class at Glendale Community College? Registration is ongoing now for fall classes which start August 23. Among the many classes offered are Quilting, Sewing with a Serger, Basic Sewing Skills, Upholstery, and many more. Classes are held during day and evening hours, and are designed for both the novice and the professional. For the zealous, there are even classes in designing your own patterns. Whether you need to learn basic sewing, want to sew for your family, are interested in making high fashion clothes, or want to save money upholstering your own furniture, GCC has the class for you! Renowned Jazz Pianist to Teach at Glendale Community College
He has played with famed jazz musicians Artie Shaw, Joe Lavano, George Garzone and others; now Dan Delaney is leaving Boston for Arizona and will be teaching jazz piano this fall at Glendale Community College. Delaney, educated at Berklee College of Music in Boston, is a nationally-renowned performer, teacher, and author of two online piano instructional tutorials that are used world-wide in 26 countries. His methodology has been implemented in schools across the U.S. and now GCC students will be able to study with him in person.
