Audition for GCC Choirs

The public is invited to tryout for the Glendale Community College Mixed Community Chorus Jan. 9-13, in Music 1, building, office 103 on the main campus at 6000 W. Olive Ave. All singers are welcome to join. The choir meets every Monday from 7:10 - 9:50 p.m. on campus beginning Jan. 23, and performs two concerts per semester. There is a fee of $76 but scholarships are available to offset the cost. It is a short, painless audition to determine voice part, range, and pitch matching abilities. GCC students can audition for the Mixed Community Choir plus these three others: Concert Choir, Vocal Jazz and Chamber Singers. Concert Choir meets Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00-10:50 a.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 -11:15 a.m., Vocal Jazz meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:15-3:30 p.m. and Chambers Singers meets Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from noon -12:50 p.m. Contact Dr. Kriegel to arrange an audition.
