2011 Valley of the Sun Bowl Comes to GCC Again

The 2011 Valley of the Sun Bowl will match the host Glendale Community College Gauchos against the Dean College Bulldogs. The game will be played on December 3 at Glendale's Matt O. Hanhila stadium and is slated for a 1:00 PM start.

The 2011 Gauchos, who will be making their 17th appearance in the Valley of the Sun Bowl's 30 year history, finished the regular season with an 8-3 overall record and a #17 ranking in the final, regular season NJCAA poll. Dean College, which is located in Franklin, Massachusetts, finished its regular season with a 7-1 record, a #11 ranking in the final NJCAA poll, and their 4th Northeast Football Conference championship in the last 5 years.

The Valley of the Sun Bowl is sponsored by the Maricopa Community College District and is hosted annually by the Maricopa County College which finishes the regular season with the best record in the Western States Football League.

Ticket prices for the game are $8 for adults, $5 for students with school ID, and $5 for seniors. Tickets may be purchased at the gate on game day.
