Professional actress, fashion model and businesswoman Toni Redman will explore "Branding You as Product" when she headlines this month's first presentation in the Glendale Community College (GCC) Speakers Forum series.

The presentation is scheduled at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, in Room 104E of the Student Union, located near the center of GCC's main campus at 59th and Olive avenues.

Redman is the first of seven speakers who will present lectures as part of the forum, which is free and open to the public. A different speaker will present each month through April on topics ranging from communication and health to politics, performance and art.

During her talk, Redman will focus on the essence of self and knowledge of where an individual fits in the entertainment industry. Her roles as an actress have included appearances in movies such as "Double Whammy" with Elizabeth Hurley and Dennis Leary, various movies of the week, and television programs such as "Bay Watch" and "Diagnosis Murder."

She also has appeared in commercials and as a spokesperson for organizations such as Secure Communications, San Diego Visitors Bureau and Hyatt Hotels.

Additionally, she has modeled since 1989 for live and print mediums and has had assignments in New York, Los Angeles, Europe, Japan, Australia and Hong Kong.

Her other career highlights include partnerships in national real-estate development firms, with responsibility for business development and marketing.

Redman earned an associate degree from Casper College in Wyoming and a bachelor of arts degree from Colorado State University.
