Job seekers desiring to maximize their use of powerful tools available through the Internet to reach hiring decision makers are encouraged to attend a free workshop from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 4, in Room 104 of the Student Union at Glendale Community College (GCC). This workshop is a collaborative presentation by GCC and Scottsdale Job Network (SJN).
Titled "SJN's Get Wired to Get Hired!," the seminar is open to the public and designed for individuals who already have a basic understanding of, and familiarity with, LinkedIn and other tools such as Google to accelerate job searches. Those unfamiliar with LinkedIn should visit http://computer.howstuffworks.com/linkedin.htm to gain familiarity with this networking tool.
Attire for the workshop is business casual. Parking is available in the college's S1 parking lot, located just west of 61st and W. Olive avenues. Overflow parking is available east of that intersection in the S2 lot.
Visit http://getwired-060409.eventbrite.com to complete registration; questions can be directed to SJN at info@scottsdalejobnet.com or by calling 480.513.1491.
