Construction will begin this month, with occupancy scheduled for December 2009. Substance Design Consortium is the design firm and FCI Constructors, Inc. is the construction company for the project. On the same day, at 10 a.m., Glendale Community College, DPR Construction and GouldEvans architects will celebrate the grand opening of the new GCC Life Sciences Building that is now complete and ready for spring classes. It will house the three life science departments: Biology, Psychology and Nursing. After the ceremony, tours and demonstrations of the building will be given until 2 p.m. The location for this event is the lawn west of the Life Science Building. See www.gccaz.edu/map.
