Have you ever sat down to take a test and had your mind "go blank?" Do you have test anxiety? Do you panic and cram before tests? If this sounds like you, a free workshop at Glendale Community College could help.

The community is invited to register for "Test-Taking Skills," to be held on Friday, Sept. 12, from 1-2 p.m. in the GCC Counseling and Career Center Building, room CCS-108. The college is located at 6000 W. Olive Ave. in Glendale; there is plenty of free parking available. The CCS Building is in the center of the campus, just north of the GCC Student Union.

You will learn strategies to reduce anxiety, recall information more easily and improve test performance. Almost everyone knows to get a good night's sleep before a test, rather than to stay up late and cram. However, you may be surprised to learn about other things that help, such as exercising a few days before the test.

For more information, call 623.845.3050. This is the latest in a series of free workshops offered to the community by GCC.
