If you're looking for a job, the Career and Employment Services Department at Glendale Community College can help you prepare for job interviews. A free Interview Skills Workshop will be held on Wed., Sept. 3, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., in the Counseling and Career Services Building, room CCS-108 on the GCC campus, 6000 W. Olive Avenue in Glendale.

The Wall Street Journal says the four worst interviewing mistakes are focusing on negative thoughts, sounding like everyone else, saying what first comes to mind, and ignoring interview protocol. In this workshop, you will not only learn what NOT to do in interviews, but also what you SHOULD do. You will learn how to answer the most common interview questions, how to prepare for your interview, how to enhance the chemistry between you and the interviewer, and more. The Career Specialist workshop instructor will also teach you how to avoid costly interview mistakes.

The class will cover how to determine what is really important to the interviewer, and you will view a mock interview to learn the key components of success. No reservation for this workshop is necessary. Please call 623.845.3283 if you need more information.
